Household Waste Recycling Centre

The application for this new facility, to be situated off the Hambledon Road, adjacent to the Taylor Wimpey site, is available on HCC’s website under ‘Waste and Recycling’.

There are some statements circulating that at its peak, on Sundays, 400 vehicles an hour will be visiting. This is an erroneus piece of information; the Traffic Statement, part of the application, states the projection for ‘when the MDA is built’ (2,500 units), is 200 vehicles an hour.
The MDA will take some years to build out, so any cocerns even with 200 visits an hour are some way off realisation. Any problems, give me a shout

The next meeting will be on Tuesday 13th September, commencing 2pm and held at the D-Day memorial Hall, Southwick – all welcome.

Phase 2 of the Taylor Wimpey Site is well under way and the show homes are open. Both authorities are meeting with the developer in the near future to  discuss phases 3 and 4.
