New way to ‘smart’ contact Winchester City Council

If you use a smart phone or tablet then we have a new way for you to contact the council

Report problems 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year, no matter where you are in the world, with Winchester City Council’s new Your Winchester app.

If you have a smart phone or tablet device Your Winchester is the quick and efficient way to report problems, you can even send your report with an accurate GPS location* and photograph or video.

The app has been designed to make it as straightforward as possible for people to report problems or look up information on the move. There’s no need to wait until you get back to the office or home before you can report problems, no need to hang on the phone to speak to an advisor at busy times and no need to work out who you should send the report to – Your Winchester does all that for you.

The fast and efficient app is free to download from the Apple App store, Google Play and the Blackberry App store, all you need to do is go to the app store from your device, type in Your Winchester to the search field, download it and you can start using it straight away.

You can use the app to report issues like refuse collections, fly-tipping, street rubbish, illegal fly posting, a broken pavement or street lighting, problems with parking meters and pot holes in the road, abandoned vehicles, dead animals, drains and graffiti, antisocial behaviour issues and problems in your local park.

You can find out who your local Councillor is, pay a bill, check out what’s on with the local event section and then catch up on the latest Winchester news from our website.

By using the Smartphone’s GPS mapping technology Your Winchester automatically sends your report to the right council. So, if you report a dead animal on the roadside in West Sussex, for example, the report will be sent to the appropriate local council to deal with.

Using the mobile app is easy – to submit a report you just select the appropriate category, complete the questions and capture the evidence with a photo or video, enter your location and send. We’ll get to work to resolve the issue and we’ll keep you informed on the progress of your report by updating you by email.

The app will take reports on the following areas:
