Your Chance To Choose The Play Equipment

Tuesday 16th January from 3 to 7pm is your chance to choose the new play area for Newlands Walk.

At the opening of Newlands Walk the community was asked what type of play equipment would be best for the area.  This information formed the basis of a design brief which play providers were able to design to.

The West of Waterlooville Arts Panel have shortlisted three play areas and would like the community to decide on the final design.

Your chance to vote will be on Tuesday 16th January at the Wellington Vale Care Home, between 3 and 7pm.  Cllr Brook and officers from Winchester City Council will be attending Denmead Infants and Junior Schools on Monday 15th and Berewood Primary School on Tuesday 16th for children of those schools to vote.

The three shortlisted designs will be on display along with council officers and Councillor Brook to answer questions.

The winning design should be installed by Summer 2018.

Taylor Wimpey have provided funding for the play equipment for children aged from 4-14 as part of the section 106 agreement.   There is also some art funding being used to enhance the offer.
